275 rooms, pool, free room safes, 3 shops, 5 conference rooms, hi-speed Internet access in rooms, 2 restaurants, 24-hour business center with free hi-speed Internet access, small day spa. A 19-story tower from 1970. Units are fairly roomy compared to their competition with a clean, simple, contemporary decor. There's a lot of aloha with the staff, and they clearly care about your comfort. Connecting rooms are available. Renovations were completed in 2008 with good results, and the lobby was to be redone at press time to bring more Hawaiian culture into the design. Fridays they have local crafters and entertainment. Parking is $18. Plus it's only a couple minutes' walk to Kuhio Beach Park. Rooms (315-348 sq. ft.) are $199-$264, Jr. suites (394 sq. ft.) are $229-$279, suites (696-1,060 sq. ft.) are $354-$1,000. We gave them a solid gold value because they have so many specials--including great Internet rates that can knock as much as 35–50% off price depending on the time of year--and few people ever pay the rack rate listed above.
