"I just wanted to send along a note to say Thank You for writing such an informative and useful book. I picked up 'Oahu Revealed' in order to prepare for my vacation to the island, and let me tell you, your book put to shame anything that AAA had to offer. I took it with me everywhere I went on the trip, and any info I needed to know or look up was in there. Thank you again. Your book helped my trip be more enjoyable than I could have ever imagined!"

Aerial View

525 rooms, pool and spa, fitness center, room service (breakfast and dinner), coffee makers with free daily coffee, 3 restaurants, 31 shops, 4 conference rooms, business center, Wi-Fi in lobby and pool areas, free room safes, free local and mainland calls, free hi-speed Internet access in rooms, Nintendo, day spa. A 16-story tower right on the beach that's an easy place to like. The location is fantastic, though the building design means only a small percentage are right over the beach. They're near the center of action in Waikiki, and their restaurants--especially Duke's Canoe Club and Hula Grill--are winners. Duke's is a particularly great place for a breakfast buffet. The view from the bone-melting day spa and fitness room on the roof is wonderful.

Services are nice here--even the check-in process is less painful than at other resorts. Other little touches indicate that customer comfort is more than a slogan here. Parking is $25 (valet only). The rooms are nicely decorated, and the deluxe oceanfront categories have separate showers and double Jacuzzi bathtubs. Connecting rooms are available. If you spring for oceanfront, avoid 3rd and 4th floors due to blockage from palm tree crowns. And some of the "ocean view" rooms get pretty marginal the farther back you go on the Diamond Head side. But overall, this is a good resort with a good attitude and a great location. There are lots of beach activities available. Rooms (340 sq. ft.) are $369-$759. Suites (555-685 sq. ft.) are $999-$1,199. Lots of packages reduce these prices.
