34 rooms, pool, free Wi-Fi. This is the oldest hotel on the island. Built in 1901, it's right in the heart of downtown Lahaina. (That's good for convenience, bad if you're looking for peace and quiet at night.) The hotel was renovated in the late '90s and is clean and well-tended. Free room coffee daily. Laundry is valet-only. No elevator, no room safes. Deluxe rooms have mini-fridges, otherwise it's $15 per day if you want one. Lanais in all rooms, but they're not private, so behave. All the non-smoking rooms face the interior courtyard pool. You'll have to park on Wainee and Dickenson and hoof it to your room, but it's free. Once ensconced in your room, there is no better place to stay to feel the heart of Lahaina beat. They're rarely full, so you can almost always get a room. Rooms (500 sq. ft.) are a tad pricey at $150-$190, $185-$215 for the deluxe room, suites are $185-$215. Stick with the standard rooms; suites aren't appreciably better to justify the increased price. Courtyard rooms are the quietest.
