Maui Revealed: "We just got back from a trip to Maui. We loved it. When we first arrived we purchased Maui Revealed. It was fabulous!! Extremely helpful and easy-to-read...and navigate the roads... Thanks again for the great book." |
Nalu Kai Lodge (877) 574-8666 or (808) 385-4344 18 Nalu Pl., Pa'ia.
9 rooms, free Wi-Fi, coin-op laundry facilities, coffee maker upon request, empty fridges, no phones, free parking. This was originally built in the 1960s but has been lovingly restored and turned into an intimate, casual property tucked behind the busy main street of Pa‘ia (though you may still hear some noise). The rooms are extremely small at 120 sq. ft. but very clean. They make good use of the space with simple, charming decor and ensuite baths. The rooms don’t have lanais, but there are plenty of places to park yourself outside, including the tiki bar and hammocks. They pay close attention to detail and make the place feel vintage Hawai‘i by including a waterfall feature in the courtyard and fresh flowers strewn aroundeven in your toilet. (Yes, you can flush it.) Beach chairs, snorkel gear and surf lockers are provided free for your use. They have a 1/1 unit that sleeps 3 and is very spacious at 800 sq. ft. Hotel rooms are $125 and the 1/1 is $175. Near Baldwin Avenue. Weekly discount rates start at $99 for the rooms. A decent deal and nice folks here. |
