"My wife and I have just returned from a trip to Maui. Before we left, a last-minute acquaintance (when told that we were leaving shortly for Maui) said her grown kids lived there, went home and returned with a copy of your book for us, saying "please take this with you, it's full of good information, which you may not otherwise know about." How right (and generous) she was...and how right you both are! We soon learned to carry our borrowed copy of your Maui Revealed every day on front seat of the car, and found it continually useful and right-on throughout our entire visit around the island... thanks again for all your (unexpected) help. And we'll recommend your books very highly from now on to everyone we know."

80 units, pool, spa, bbqs, central air conditioning, free hi-speed Internet access, free room safes, Ping-Pong, daily maid service. Though the building is old (1969) and the exterior relatively unimpressive, this one’s a winner and the best priced in this area. They are impossibly close to the ocean—around 25 feet!—so rooms look almost straight down into the water. Their sandy beach is narrow but gets wider next door. The pool obviously wouldn’t fit on the ocean side, so it’s tucked away on the mountain side and has no view, but there’s a computer for you to use, free Wi-Fi and a kitchen at the pool to cook your meals. There’s a grocery store across the street. Units vary a lot, but we didn’t see any we wouldn’t want to stay in. They added dvrs and iPod docking stations to the rooms, so you won’t miss your favorite shows or tunes. Some of the studio units have pull-down wall beds—get out of bed, pop it up and you have the whole room. Corner units offer particularly tasty views. If you’re staying on the Ka‘anapali Beach Club side of the building, you may hear their nightly poolside events. Free morning coffee in the lobby. All in all, it’s an excellent deal. Studios, which they call Jr. Suites (500–550 sq. ft.), are $189–$239, 1/1s (750–800 sq. ft.) are $245–$323, 2/2s (1,200 sq. ft.) are $398–$484. 2-night minimum.
