Koke'e State Park

60 beds in the bunkhouse, cottage and lodge, huge fire pit (wood available), bbq area, pay phone (bring change because your cell phone probably won’t work), covered lanai with ping-pong table and other games. Built in 1925, this is a clean, no-nonsense camp with a no-nonsense attitude: “leave it as you found it.” The grounds are isolated, but the scenery is quite beautiful with a small stream. It’s $15 per person for tent camping with access to toilets and hot showers, $15 for the hostel bunkhouse (bring your own bedding and towels). Community restrooms and showers for campers and bunkhouse. The two end units of the bunkhouse have a kitchen and sleep up to four people for $95–$110 per night (you still share a bath with the hostel). They have a cottage available for $125–$150 for up to four people. The lodge has a large kitchen and bath and can sleep up to 15 people for $250–$300. Or you can rent the entire facility for $1,350–$1,500. Children under 5 are free. They often rent to large groups, so be sure and call two weeks in advance for availability. The cabin and lodge often are reserved up to a year or more in advance with summer being the busiest season. We prefer this over Koke‘e Lodge. 2-night minimum for the cottage.
